Wireframe

What is a Wireframe?

A Wireframe is a visual representation of a product’s layout and structure, used to plan and design the user interface and functionality. Wireframes are often created early in the design process to establish the basic layout, navigation, and content placement without getting into detailed design elements. They serve as a blueprint for designers and developers, helping to ensure that all key components are included and properly organized.

Characteristics of wireframes:

  • Simplicity: Focuses on layout and functionality rather than detailed design, often using basic shapes and text.
  • Functionality: Illustrates how different elements interact and the overall flow of the user experience.
  • Flexibility: Allows for easy adjustments and iterations based on feedback and testing.

Wireframes are a crucial tool in the design process, enabling teams to visualize and refine user interfaces before moving on to more detailed design work.
