What are Story Points?
Story Points are a unit of measure used in Agile development to estimate the effort required to complete a task or user story. Unlike time-based estimates, story points consider factors like complexity, risk, and uncertainty, making them a more holistic approach to planning work.
Teams assign story points during sprint planning sessions, often using a consensus-based approach like Planning Poker. The use of story points helps in setting realistic expectations for what can be achieved in a sprint and aids in measuring team velocity over time.
