What is Usability Testing?
Usability Testing is a method for evaluating a product’s ease of use and overall user satisfaction by observing real users as they interact with the product. This process helps identify usability issues, understand user behaviors, and gather feedback on how the product can be improved.
In usability testing:
- Test Scenarios: Users are given specific tasks to perform using the product. These scenarios simulate real-world use cases and help evaluate how well the product supports users in achieving their goals.
- Observation: Testers observe users as they complete tasks, noting any difficulties or confusion. This may involve watching users in person or using screen recordings and remote testing tools.
- Feedback Collection: Users provide feedback on their experience, including what they liked and what could be improved. This feedback is used to make design enhancements.
Usability testing is crucial for refining product designs, enhancing user satisfaction, and ensuring that the product meets the needs and expectations of its target audience.
